In an impressive display of dominance, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians by eight wickets on Sunday to start their campaign off strong. The hosts allowed MI to bat first and began bowling in confined spaces right away. With the exception of Glenn Maxwell, all other bowlers contributed with one wicket each, with Karn Sharma taking two wickets. Tilak Verma played a lone hand and scored an unbroken 84 runs, contributing to MI's respectable total of 171/7.
