On April 3, the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) released a report with a picture of what seemed to be a damaged nuclear bomb from the United States that was kept at a Dutch air base.

Concerns about a possible nuclear weapons-related mishap at the Dutch air force installation Volkel were raised by the report among American scientists.

The bomb in the image has been classified as a B61 bomb. US soldiers, including two from an explosive ordnance disposal unit and a civilian, appear to be inspecting it for possible damages.

According to the image, the bomb's back appears to have been twisted after hitting something, and one of its tail fins is missing. Above there is a pink sticky tape applied.

According to the story, the picture was shown during a presentation at the nuclear weapons site Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico that was geared for student employment seekers.
