A FL school board member requests a definition of what a woman is on behalf of the parents: "No definitive response,"

During a meeting of the Florida school board, a member asked about the proposed sex education curriculum's definition of "woman," noting that parents want a clear answer so they can decide whether to pull their children out of the district.

Broward Region Government funded Schools has been bantering on the proposed sex instruction educational plan since the locale improved the educational program because of tension from the Florida Division of Training. After a public comment period on the curriculum, members of the school board clashed on the definition of what a woman is at a meeting on March 28.District 6 school board member Brenda Fam answered questions from BCPS parents.Amid the movement for parental rights, the states approve universal school choice: "Some of my parents have had some questions that I actually posed but for which I did not receive a response," TEACHERS UNIONS AWAKEN SLEEPING GIANT "They want to know what the definition of a woman is for Broward County's sexual education curriculum," Fam stated. They are curious about which people can conceive and which can give birth. They need to know those definitions too. Based on some of these responses, I believe this will have a significant impact on their decision to remain in or leave the educational system, particularly in light of school choice and vouchers. Additionally, they are extremely serious and require responses to these questions.

In response, the superintendent stated that "no clear-cut answer" exists.

"They want to know what the definition of a woman is in the Broward County sexual education curriculum." That query is more than just a query. "It is a thought process, it is an examination, and a lot of laws are based on a lot of things," said Earlean C. Smiley, superintendent of Broward County Public Schools.

Smiley continued, "I guess I’m putting it off and hesitating because there is no clear-cut answer I can give you at this point."

Fam continued by asking the board why it is unable to clearly define "what a man and what a woman are." Sarah Leonardi, a member of District 3's school board, responded to Fam, appearing irritated by his line of inquiry."This curriculum, the policy, the support guide, the goal of all of us being here is to support children and to educate children," Leonardi stated. "The governor of Utah signs a major education funding bill." What's more, not to participate in a political line of scrutinizing that occupies from that mission. I simply believe we genuinely must adhere to the motivation behind, once more, the educational program, the arrangement, the help guide, which is to help kids and not get diverted by different plans."
